To properly prepare or maintain your cast iron, Valhal Outdoor recommends the following steps:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003col\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003ePlace your cast iron cookware in the oven and preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Let your item heat up for 20 minutes.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003eWhile the cast iron is still warm, rub all sides with Valhal Outdoor's VH.WAX using a tea towel or paper towel.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003eRub your cast iron again with another clean cloth for a thin and even layer of wax.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003ePlace your cast iron pan or accessory back in the oven for 40 minutes at 250 degrees Celsius. This allows for polymerization of the coating.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003eDepending on how smooth and\/or greased you want your cast iron item, you can repeat this process two or three times.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you have the opportunity to carry out these steps outdoors, for example in a barbecue, we recommend doing so outdoors.
