Nielsen 9mm 108 grain slugs are not cast, but cold forged in a mold. This offers the following advantages:
- The slugs are perfectly round

- The slugs have a uniform weight distribution and thus perfect balance
The Nielsen 9mm 108 grain slugs are made of soft lead, which, in combination with the hollow point, ensures lightning-fast expansion upon impact.
