Slugs FX Hybrid 5.5mm HP 22 grain (.217)

FX Hybrid 5.5 mm 22 grain slugs are a hybrid form between a conventional pellet and a slug. Diabolo-shaped pellets conform excellently to the rifling of a barrel and have a small contact surface, and thus also little friction. Due to their shape, however, they have a low ballistic coefficient, which means they quickly lose their speed and are sensitive to wind. Slugs, on the other hand, have a much higher ballistic coefficient, allowing them to better maintain their speed. The high self-weight and large contact surface (extra friction) do mean that a lot of extra power is needed to shoot slugs. The FX Hybrid 5.5 mm 22 grain slugs have the external dimensions of a slug with a high ballistic coefficient, but are completely hollow and have a hollowed-out base, making them lightweight. Their shape gives them a contact surface with the optimal balance between friction and sealing. This combination of properties ensures that the FX Hybrid slugs have a flatter trajectory than conventional pellets and are less sensitive to wind. Thanks to better energy retention, they are very suitable for long distances, and the hollow point provides enormous expansion. The other advantage of these FX Hybrid 5.5 mm 22 grain slugs is the fact that they are suitable for any air rifle and not just the extremely powerful ones or those equipped with a special slug liner.
