Description

This HikMicro M15 trail camera is perfectly suited for mapping and monitoring wildlife within a hunting area. The trail camera takes photos with a resolution of up to ten megapixels and shoots 10-second videos with audio at a resolution of 1080 pixels. For longer videos, the resolution decreases slightly, to 720P for twenty seconds and Wide Video Graphics Array (WVGA) for 30 seconds. It is even possible to take up to three photos in burst mode, where the camera quickly takes one, two, or three photos per detection. During the day, the camera captures sharp color images, and at night, it takes black-and-white images. The total of twelve infrared LEDs ensures a clear image even at night.

The photos and videos are transmitted via the 4G antenna to the free HikMicro Sight smartphone app. With this app, you can set up the camera in detail. For example, you can choose the time slots when it is active, set the resolution for photos or videos, and use various other options. Despite the many diverse options, the HikMicro M15 trail camera is exceptionally user-friendly.

You won't need much when setting up the trail camera. By means of the battery compartment on the underside of the camera, you insert six to twelve AA batteries. With twelve AA batteries, the camera should operate for as long as six months in standby mode. After you have fitted the camera with batteries, you can, for example, attach it to a tree or place it on a tripod. For this purpose, the camera is equipped with 1/4’’ - 20 UNC thread on the underside and the rear. Then, open the flap on the front. On the left side, there is space for a SIM card, and on the right side, there is space for an SD card of up to 32 GB to store the captured photos and videos.

Furthermore, there is a slide switch under the flap. With this slide switch, you move the HikMicro M15 trail camera from the off position to the setup position. There are four indicators that should light up green in the setup position before you move the slide switch to the on position. The indicators show, among other things, whether an SD card is present and whether there is sufficient signal. There is also a sync button on the camera, with which you can take a test photo. If all indicators light up green and the camera is in the on position, close the flap, and your trail camera will start working in the time slots you specified.

The HikMicro M15 trail camera has a passive infrared motion sensor that activates the camera when something passes by. This ensures that images are only captured when something actually passes by, and the trail camera will not drain its batteries unnecessarily. This highly sensitive motion sensor has a maximum range of 25 meters with a diagonal angle of 60 degrees and a horizontal angle of 45 degrees. The camera has an activation time of half a second, so you won't miss anything. This M15 trail camera has dimensions of 112x86.4x143 mm, weighs 440 grams, and features a camouflage print. This allows it to blend seamlessly into the environment, enabling you to effectively monitor the hunting area.
