With an angular field of view of 7.8 degrees (the apparent field of view is a remarkable 61 degrees thanks to the magnification), the Kahles Helia S 8x42 binoculars offer an enormous wide field of view of 136 meters at 1000 meters distance. Focusing is possible from as close as 3.2 meters, something not many binoculars can match for the Helia S 8x42. To compensate for any vision impairment, the right eyepiece is equipped with a diopter with a wide adjustment range of +/- 4 dpt.

The Kahles Helia S 8x42 binoculars can be worn around the neck with a comfortable neck strap that can be detached using quick-release fasteners. Its housing is made of magnesium, which not only makes it incredibly strong but also very light. It weighs only 815 grams.

As can be expected from binoculars of this caliber, the Kahles Helia S 8x42 are waterproof and, thanks to their nitrogen filling, cannot fog up internally with large temperature changes.
