This Silent Dry Vaportack 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem anti-corrosion cartridge keeps the internal spaces of a weapon rust-free for a significant period thanks to a technology called VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor). VCIs are chemical substances that deposit a rust-preventative protective layer on metal in an enclosed space. This protects the internal components of a rifle from corrosion.
Silent Dry has incorporated this VCI technology into this Vaportack cartridge, which can be placed in a rifle with the same caliber as a 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem. Due to the shape of this anti-corrosion cartridge, which is identical to that of a real cartridge, it fits perfectly in the chamber and magazine of the rifle. This protects the inside of the weapon from corrosion. The color indicator shows when the cartridge needs to be replaced.
