Beretta BRX1

The BRX1 is Beretta's first large caliber hunting rifle. This rifle features a straight-pull bolt system, the bolt of which can be reversed without tools, making the weapon ambidextrous. In addition, reloading is very smooth because only 2 movements are required, instead of the usual four with a conventional bolt system.

The safety catch is located on the rear of the action and can therefore be operated with the thumb, again by both left and right-handed shooters. This safety catch has three positions: the first position blocks the trigger, hammer, and bolt, for transport or storage. The middle position only blocks the trigger, to safely load or unload the weapon. In the third position, everything is free, and the weapon is ready to fire.

Beretta has equipped the BRX1 with an 8-lug bolt head; magnum calibers have 16 lugs for extra strength to withstand the large amount of energy from these heavy calibers. In addition, there is also the option to easily switch between calibers, for which the barrel, bolt head, and magazine must be replaced. Because the bedding has a V-shape, it offers a sturdy platform for the barrel and action, ensuring consistent accuracy, even after changing calibers.

The trigger pull weight can be adjusted in three steps between 950 and 1500 grams, and the magazine with a capacity for 5 cartridges disappears completely into the action and is brightly orange for optimal visibility. To mount optics, the BRX1 is equipped with a removable Weaver/Picatinny mounting rail on the action and offers an external M14 muzzle thread (with thread protector) option for a sound suppressor.

The stock is made of polymer, a low-maintenance and weather-resistant material, and features extra texture on the grip and fore-end for an excellent hold. Furthermore, the stock also has attachment points for a rifle sling, and the length of pull can be adjusted by placing spacers between the stock and the recoil pad.
