Description
The Bergara BA13 Take-Down is a single-shot break-action rifle equipped with a green thumbhole stock and forend, and a black barrel and action. This sleek and simple rifle is lightweight and handy, making it suitable for stealth hunting, among other things. It can be disassembled quickly and without tools, making it easy to store and transport.
The thumbhole stock is made of strong and durable glass-reinforced polymer and features a soft CrushZone butt pad for comfortable shouldering and recoil mitigation. Additionally, the controls are ambidextrous, making the rifle suitable for left- and right-handed shooters. The break action is engaged with the lever on the trigger guard, after which a bullet can be manually loaded or removed. Before firing, the hammer must first be manually cocked.
Despite its favorable price, the Bergara BA13 Take-Down rifle is very accurate, thanks to the high-quality Bergara barrel made of 4140CrMo steel. This fluted barrel has a 5/8-24 UNEF muzzle thread for attaching a suppressor or muzzle brake and is equipped with a Weaver/Picatinny rail for mounting aiming devices.
