Description
The Blaser R8 Ultimate X is a large-caliber rifle with a modular design, available in various calibers. This Ultimate X version of the Blaser R8 does something no previous version has done: it uses magazines with a capacity of no less than ten cartridges. This makes the Blaser R8 Ultimate X highly suitable for sport shooting, but with some modifications (such as a lighter barrel), it can also be used for hunting. This rifle features the right-handed R8 receiver with an R8 bolt (head).
It is equipped with a Blaser R8 Match interchangeable barrel, which also makes the rifle very accurate. During shooting, the barrel can overheat, especially with ten rapid-fire shots as is possible with this Blaser R8 Ultimate X. Therefore, the barrel is fluted. This means it has multiple grooves running along its entire length. These grooves allow the material to cool down faster and make the barrel slightly lighter, improving the rifle's balance. At the front of the barrel, there is M18x1 threading, allowing the rifle to be easily fitted with a suppressor, for example.
Shooting the Blaser R8 Ultimate X is a comfortable experience. It features a height-adjustable cheek rest, allowing the eye to be perfectly aligned with any scope. The buttstock is adjustable in length for the perfect LOP to the grip in the thumbhole stock. This grip has a rough texture on both sides, which is also present on both sides of the fore-end. This allows for a firm grip on the Blaser R8 to absorb recoil as effectively as possible.
