These green Sordin Supreme X2 ear defenders feature gel ear cushions. Thanks to the Hear2 system, ambient sounds remain clearly audible, or are even amplified.

This amplification of ambient sound and attenuation of loud noises makes this hearing protector very suitable for hunting or shooting sports. This function can be adjusted to the situation using different sound profiles. Two external microphones ensure that ambient sound is clearly audible, and the direction of the sound can also be determined very accurately.

The Sordin Supreme X2 has four audio profiles: ‘hunter’, ‘focus’, ‘shooter’ and ‘ambient off’. The first three vary in the amount of sound attenuation and how loud the ambient sound is. The hunter profile is the default, where ambient sound is played at natural volume and sound attenuation is also active. Focus amplifies ambient sound even more, ideal for hearing animals move or picking up footsteps, for example. Shooter, on the other hand, attenuates the sound much more and is, as the name suggests, intended for use at the shooting range, for example. The last profile, ambient off, makes the hearing protector purely passive, but still allows communication.

Communication is an essential part of active hearing protection such as the green Sordin Supreme X2 with gel ear cushions. Because loud sounds can be attenuated and communication can be played back clearly on the inside, communication remains possible in noisy environments. A microphone with radio connection can be attached to the AUX port of the hearing protector.
