Hornady Superformance Varmint .243 Win V-Max 75 grain rifle cartridges use Superformance progressive propellant, which, due to its mixed composition, provides higher velocity than conventional propellants without building up extra chamber pressure or increasing recoil.
The V-Max bullet heads have a high ballistic coefficient of .330 (G1) thanks to their aerodynamic design and polymer tip. The cold-forged lead core has a cavity behind the polymer tip's stem, allowing it to build momentum upon impact before striking the core, thus ensuring extremely rapid fragmentation.
