Mounting Sauer Saddle Mount for SR rail

The Sauer Saddle Mount for SR rail allows Swarovski Rail (SR) riflescopes to be mounted on the Sauer 505. Any riflescope compatible with the unique SR mounting rail can be attached to this mount. The riflescope can be attached by sliding the mount into the scope's rails. Screws in the bottom of the mount can then be tightened to secure the riflescope against the Saddle Mount. The toothed profile running along the bottom of the riflescope also runs along part of the inside of the mount. This profile and the tightening of the screws ensure the riflescope is completely clamped in the mount, even when subjected to repeated recoil impulses.

Attaching the Sauer Saddle Mount for SR rail to the rifle is simple. The mount is placed on top of the receiver, where lugs on the mount fit into recesses in the receiver. By rotating both locking mechanisms, the mount is secured. This method provides a sturdy, yet simple and quick connection.
