These 40 grain Heavy Slugs in 6.35 mm (.249) caliber are designed and produced by H&N for long-range shooting and are best used with powerful airguns with an energy of 25 joules (18.5 ft.lb) or more.
By manufacturing the Heavy Slug from soft lead and providing it with an aerodynamic shape and a wide meplat, H&N has found the perfect balance between accuracy and impact for powerful air rifles. The large hollow point of the 40 grain Heavy Slugs in 6.35 mm (.249) ensures that the slugs expand rapidly, generating a lot of stopping power.
