Description
Javelin Gen 2 5.5 mm (.217) 23 grain slugs are very balanced due to their uniformity and density, which is possible because they are forged rather than cast. These second generation Javelin slugs have been modified to further improve performance:
- Hollow point shape and depth have been redesigned for better expansion and weight distribution
- Meplat is rounded for improved aerodynamics
- Base is now hollow instead of flat, for more stability in turbulent conditions
- Tighter machine tolerances for more consistency between batches
These improvements, the smooth finish, and ingenious bullet shape of the Javelin Gen 2 slugs give them a ballistic coefficient of 0.073.
