The Javelin Gen 2 5.5 mm 26 grain (.217) slugs are swaged, which gives them extremely consistent cohesion and density, as well as great uniformity and a very smooth finish. The tangent ogive (the so-called bullet shape) and neatly finished meplat (flat front) contribute to a ballistic coefficient of 0.081.
