Description
This Nielsen .45 290 grain hollow point, flat base slug is recommended for .45 Airforce Texan PCP air rifles and has been tested with very good results in the Airforce Texan. For the Texan SS, the 240 grain is recommended as its weight better matches the power of the air rifle.
Because the Nielsen .45 290 grain is cold pressed and not cast, softer lead can be used, allowing the slug to better conform to the rifling, seal better in the barrel, and expand faster on impact. This production method also yields extremely consistent slugs, both in weight and shape. The Nielsen Specialty Ammo (NSA) slugs are perfectly round, ensuring that their weight is precisely distributed relative to the lateral centerline.
