Thanks to its 8x magnification, these Kahles Helia 8x42 RF binoculars provide a good handheld image. The letters RF already give it away; these Helia 8x42 RF binoculars are equipped with an integrated laser rangefinder. Via a top-quality OLED display (with five brightness levels), the distance up to 1500 meters is shown, either as a single measurement or in scan mode. In addition, five other parameters can be displayed:

• Angle – the number of degrees you are looking up or down
• EAC (Enhanced Angle Compensation) – the corrected ballistic distance that indicates the distance to be used for a horizontally zeroed rifle
• Temperature – the ambient temperature
• Air pressure – in hPA
• Long range – long-range measurement where the distance to a highly reflective object can be determined up to 4500 meters via multiple measurements

With an angle of view of 7 degrees (the apparent angle of view is no less than 56 degrees thanks to the magnification), the Kahles Helia 8x42 RF binoculars offer a field of view of 122 meters at 1000 meters distance. Focusing is possible from as little as 5 meters. To compensate for any eye deviation, the right eyepiece is equipped with a diopter with a wide adjustment range of no less than +/- 4 dpt. The eyepieces can be adjusted to four distances with a rotating motion for a correct eye relief.

The Kahles Helia 8x42 RF binoculars can be worn around the neck with a comfortable neck strap that can be detached via quick-release fasteners. Its housing has a very non-slip surface that provides excellent grip even with gloves. It weighs only 900 grams and runs on a CR2 battery.
