Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40 Dead-Hold BDC MOA Riflescope

The Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40 Dead-Hold BDC MOA is a versatile rifle scope that delivers excellent performance at an entry-level price. The reticle is located on the second focal plane, meaning the reticle remains the same size when adjusting magnification. Parallax for this scope is fixed at one hundred meters. The reticle can, of course, be adjusted horizontally and vertically with the dedicated turrets. Focus can be sharpened with the focus ring at the front of the eyepiece. Just behind the eyepiece is the ring for adjusting magnification.

For the best user experience, the lenses are fully multi-coated to ensure optimal light transmission. This is further enhanced by an objective lens with a diameter of forty millimeters. The BDC (Bullet Drop Compensation) reticle offers multiple subtensions on both the horizontal and vertical axes, based on an MOA (Minute of Angle) division. These subtensions help estimate the aiming point at a distance where the weapon and scope have not been zeroed. Together with Vortex's GeoBallistics app, this makes long-range shooting much easier.
