Walther PDP Full Size Match 5" SF - Vintage

This Walther PDP full size match 5" SF is a vintage version of the well-known handgun. The wooden grip plate and the case hardening give this pistol a unique appearance.

The Walther PDP in all its variants is a highly valued pistol, and for good reason. It is reliable, accurate, and the competition-oriented variants have an excellent trigger. This certainly applies to this 5” match version with a steel frame, which offers a relatively long barrel for better shooting performance. The longer barrel makes the weapon more accurate, while the increased length and higher weight also reduce recoil impulse.

What naturally stands out first about this pistol is the colored case hardening, which is visually unique to each weapon. The wooden grip plate is one piece and gives it a classic look, along with the golden serial number and brand name. Checkering is applied around the pistol grip, with the front and back also providing extra grip. The same has been done on the front of the trigger guard, which some shooters use to get a firmer grip on the weapon.

To allow the full size match 5” SF Walther PDP vintage to be loaded smoothly, the slide is also equipped with grooves at the front and back, which provide extra grip. The grooves at the front are open-worked and ensure that the slide has the same weight as other PDP versions. Walther chose this because with an equal weight of the slides, the recoil between different versions is equally powerful. This allows more of the same parts to be used for different versions of the pistol, making these parts more universal.

The trigger offers a low trigger pull of approximately 5 pounds (2.3 kg), with a very short reset.
