Description
The Walther Q5 Match SF Vintage is an advancement of the Walther Q5 Match, equipping the handgun with a steel frame specifically for sport shooting, and features a sleek and unique appearance. This semi-automatic sports pistol has a sporting slide with deep grooves at the rear to facilitate quick loading, and the front of the slide has milled slots to save weight. An additional advantage is that this allows the slide to glide forward faster. Due to its greater mass, the steel frame significantly reduces recoil compared to a polymer frame.
This Vintage edition of the Walther Q5 Match SF has an exterior treated with surface hardening, a heat treatment that was one of the first methods to harden the surface of steel. In this historical process, the material is first brought above a certain temperature and then rapidly cooled. This results in an oxidized outer layer with different layers in colors such as brown, yellow, green, blue, and magenta. The hardness has been increased to 45-55 HRC, which protects the steel against corrosion and wear.
The Dynamic Performance trigger is flat and offers a very smooth trigger action due to the reduced trigger weight, take-up, and reset. Additionally, the Walther Q5 Match SF Vintage pistol is equipped with a black LPA rear sight that is adjustable in height and windage, and features a Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail and wooden grip panels.
